Grimpoteutis
Grimpoteutis ( lat. Grimpoteuthis ) este un gen de caracatițe de adâncime din familia Opisthoteuthidae . Ei trăiesc în adâncurile oceanului , iar indivizii unor specii au fost găsiți chiar și la o adâncime de 7000 m, deși trăiesc de obicei la o adâncime de 100 până la 5000 m. De obicei, la vârsta adultă , aceste caracatițe ating o lungime de 20 de metri. cm, cu toate acestea, cel mai mare reprezentant înregistrat vreodată al acestui gen avea aproximativ 180 cm lungime și cântărea aproximativ 6 kg.
