Joe Montana ( ing. Joe Montana , născut pe 11 iunie 1956) este un jucător profesionist de fotbal american , fost fundaș pentru San Francisco 49ers și Kansas City Chiefs , care a intrat în Professional Football Hall of Fame. [1] După ce a câștigat sezonul de fotbal universitar din 1977, Montana și-a început cariera în NFL în 1979 cu San Francisco 49ers, unde a jucat 14 sezoane. [2] El a petrecut ultimii 2 ani în ligă cu Kansas City Chiefs . De-a lungul carierei, a participat la patru Super Bowl -uri și a câștigat fiecare. A intrat în Hall of Fame în 2000, de îndată ce a fost permis de reguli. [3] A fost numit MVP Super Bowl de 3 ori în cariera sa .
Montana a fost desemnat cel mai valoros jucător NFL în 1989 și 1990 de către Associated Press și a fost numit Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year în 1990 [4] . Cu patru ani mai devreme, el a primit AP Revenirea anului în NFL [5] . Montana a fost numită în echipa AP First All-Star de trei ori în 1987, 1989 și 1990.
