Vicarious Visions este o companie americană de dezvoltare și publicare a jocurilor video. Majoritatea jocurilor studioului au fost dezvoltate pentru consola portabilă Game Boy Advance . Biroul studioului este situat în Albany , New York .

Istorie

Atelierul a fost fondat de frații Bala în 1990, pe când era în liceu.

În ianuarie 2005, studioul a fost achiziționat de editorul Activision .

Pe 5 aprilie 2016 s-a aflat că frații Bala părăsesc studioul [1] .

Pe 8 decembrie 2016, studioul s-a asociat cu Bungie pentru a dezvolta franciza Destiny [2] .

Pe 22 ianuarie 2021, studioul a devenit parte a Blizzard Entertainment [3] [4] .

Pe 20 februarie 2021, la BlizzConline a fost anunțat că Vicarious Visions, sub Blizzard Entertainment, este în proces de relansare a Diablo II ca Diablo II: Resurrected [5] .

Pe 18 ianuarie 2022, Microsoft a anunțat achiziționarea Activision Blizzard pentru 68,7 miliarde de dolari [6]
